Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia. The capital of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is among one of the most interesting destinations in Asia. The state has two parts separated by the sea. The western, more beautiful part of Malaysia adjacent to the north of Thailand. In the south of the Malaysian peninsula is the famous city of Singapore. To the east of Malaysia, the second part of the peninsula is on the island of Borneo. Malaysia has about 30 million inhabitants spread over an area of 330,290 square kilometers. However, the majority of the population lives in large cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Subang Jaya. For German citizens there is no visa requirement for a stay without employment up to 3 months in Malaysia. At entry into the state of Sarawak, Malaysia, a separate visa is issued, which is valid for 30 days as a rule.
The official currency in Malaysia is the Ringgit (MYR) where 1 euro correspond about 4.7 Ringgit. (Feb.2017)
However, the currency varies depending on the region in Malaysia. In Singapore, will be paid with Singapore dollars, while paying in Kuala Lumpur with Ringgit.
Language: In Malaysia is predominantly spoken the language Malay. In the big cities and in tourist areas English well but is spoken.
The Putrajaya district is located about 20 kilometres south of the capital Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Putrajaya is established in 1995 planned city and serves as the administrative centre of the Federation. The Putra Mosque is located in the first district of Putrajaya.

Mount Kinabalu or Gunung Kinabalu is 4095 meters high, the highest mountain of Malaysia. It is located in the center of the Malaysian state of Sabah, in northern Borneo. Penang is a small island of Malaysia, with about 10 km in width and 15 kilometres in length, of which the largest part is mountains. A highlight is the old mountain station on the Panang Mountain Bukit Bendera at an altitude of 740m. In Georgetown, the Penang Times Square is located at Jalan Dato Keramat Road crossing Jalan Kampung Jawa Baru road.
